NEGASS put together a Mikado sing-a-long with a full orchestra this afternoon, at Christ Lutheran Church in Natick. We’d been to their Mikado sing-a-longs in 2008 and 2016, when they were co-sponsored with Longwood Opera in Needham and just had a pianist. I brought our Mikado piano score and Joe borrowed one from NEGASS.
We sat in front and it was a lot of fun to sing the choruses with a solid wall of sound behind us! We were very impressed with the quality of the voices. We knew Jeremy White was in the cast, as Pooh-Bah, and violinist Sandhya Ramakrishnan was in the orchestra.
Here is a picture of the orchestra, Aldo Fabrizi conducting. You can see a bit of Koko and the Mikado.
