Last night, Joe and I joined Dan, Donna and Luc at Kennedy Middle School for Zeke’s spring orchestra concert. Each group’s pieces included one piece that they played in the recent String Fling 2026.
Here’s what we heard:
Sixth Grade Orchestra
Koythu Pattu
Remember Me
The Code
Fifth Grade Orchestra
Sahara Crossing
Kingsfold
Metallurgy
Eight Grade Chamber Ensemble (two students plus teacher Sirkka Natti)
Three Selections from Bartok’s ’44 Duos for Two Violins’
Menuet from The Royal Fireworks
Seventh Grade Orchestra
Romanian Folk Dance
Dance of the Synchronous Fireflies
William Tell Finale
All-Town Chamber Orchestra
Voyager
Such Sweet Sorrow
Pirates of the Caribbean
The concert lasted an hour and 15 minutes, like the winter concert.
