As with the last concert we attended in 2024, Sheffield Chamber Players’ concert yesterday had to be held inside because of the rain. The program title was In an Instant:

I liked the Schubert best, as I knew I would, but also enjoyed Strum and This Is It. The composer, Reena Esmail, was here for this weekend’s premiere performances, which was fun. She explained that the piece changed over the weekend as they worked on it, and in fact only the first and fourth movements have titles.
