Joshua Addison Studio Recital

Tonight, Joe and I joined Dan, Donna, Luc and Mark at the Wilson Middle School for Zeke’s viola recital. The recital started at 6:30 and lasted about an hour, but otherwise was very different from the Kennedy Middle School’s Spring Concert. The  selections were in increasing order of difficulty, starting with the younger students who take group lessons and ending up with the older, more accomplished private students with better bowing and vibrato. The teacher, Joshua Addison, often accompanied the students.

Zeke played in the second group. Their piece was Etude (with variation) by S. Suzuki.

One of the pieces was Morning by E. Grieg. I’d never heard it as a viola solo before.

Very nice recital!
