Joe and I very much enjoyed the Netflix movie Merrily We Roll Along, recorded live from the recent Broadway production in June 2024. This is the fourth time we’ve seen Merrily We Roll Along. It’s been more professional each time: first in 2003 at Theatre To Go (Bill was in the cast), then in 2005 at Vokes, then in 2017 at the Huntington, and now the Broadway production.
The cast was amazing, especially the three leads: Daniel Radcliffe as Charley Kringas, Jonathan Groff as Franklin Shepard, and Lindsay Mendez as Mary Flynn. I really like Lindsay Mendez’s smile.
During the overture, it was fun to see the orchestra alternating with the lead sheet generating the tunes being played.
