Marble Hall Murders, the sequel to Magpie Murders and Moonflower Murders, was just as enjoyable. The series was again adapted by Anthony Horowitz from his novel, and is the third and final installment of the Susan Ryeland mysteries. We now own all three books on kindle, but I haven’t yet read them.
It’s been especially fun when Lesley Manville (as Susan Ryeland) and Tim McMullan (as Atticus Pünd) get to interact. This season featured Patricia Hodge as Miriam Crace / Lady Margaret Chalfont.
Highlights:
- (# 4): When author Eliot dies, Atticus and Vassilikos are left standing in a blank white page.
- (# 6): DI Blakeney (who wants to be a writer) finishes the Atticus story and so that Atticus scene of the tv show continues; Atticus and Susan step into the book for a quiet place to talk.
